You are warmly invited to join us for our Remembrance Sunday Service on Sunday 9th November, beginning at 10.45am at St. John's Church in Halling.
Following the service, there will be a Parade through Halling High Street to the War Memorial, where wreaths will be laid in honour of those who gave their lives in service to our country.
All are welcome to join us for this important and moving community occasion.
While visiting, please take a moment to enjoy the Halling Sapphires WI Remembrance Net of Poppies displayed outside the church — a beautiful and meaningful community project featuring handmade poppies, lovingly knitted, crocheted, or crafted from felt. This stunning tribute reflects the gratitude and remembrance of our whole village.

Our friendly Community Choir meets every Tuesday evening at St. John’s. Come along to connect with familiar faces, share smiles, and enjoy fun, uplifting music each week!
We’ll be practicing some of our favourite songs and tunes with lots of enthusiasm and a love of singing.

Join us for Safeguarding Sunday 2025 as we come together at our Eucharist Service to celebrate and reflect on what it means to be a truly safe and welcoming church community. The theme this year is - Action speaks louder! Find out more about how we can keep our church community safe for all. At Halling, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do—from our clear displays of key contacts and safeguarding policies, to our accessible facilities and friendly, supportive atmosphere. Over 20 of our church members have completed safeguarding training with 8 at leadership level and 20 have also completed DBS checks, helping to create a culture where everyone feels protected, valued, and heard. Information on local and national safeguarding organisations, including Safe Spaces and Thirtyone:eight, is available on our noticeboard and website. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and together, we can make our church a place of trust, compassion, and safety for all.

The Mothers’ Union branch meets monthly on Wednesday mornings in Cuxton Church Hall to support community projects and strengthen family life locally and beyond.
Our meetings feature guest speakers, visits, and hands-on activities like crafts and calligraphy that foster friendship and faith. We maintain strong international ties, especially with members in Trinidad and Tobago.
We also partner with PACT (Prison Advice and Care Trust) to support prisoners’ families.
With refreshments, fellowship, and a warm welcome for all, our gatherings are both inspiring and enjoyable.

Join us for our bell ringing practice session at 7:30–9:00 pm on the last Wednesday of every month at Halling. The other Wednesday practices are at Cuxton Church. Everyone is warmly invited! Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced ringer, come along and meet our friendly team. Bellringing is a fun, social activity that’s great for both physical and mental wellbeing. It’s a hobby for all ages, and we’d love to introduce you to the ropes! Why not give bellringing a go? Come along, learn a new skill, and enjoy a welcoming community at Halling and Cuxton Church. Light refreshments available.

Everyone is warmly invited to come along to the Saturday morning Lego Drop-in Session - fun for all ages!
While you're here, take a moment to enjoy the stunning 13th century wall paintings that make our church so special. All are welcome - come and build, reflect, and share together.

The festival will feature beautifully decorated Christmas trees created by local clubs, societies, and community organisations. Come and experience the creativity and community spirit that make this event so special!
Enjoy the fun and festive atmosphere, with arts and crafts activities for children and refreshments.
While you’re here, take a moment to admire the stunning 13th-century wall paintings and soak in the joy and peace of the season.

A joyful and family-friendly celebration, featuring a simple, impromptu nativity play. Props and costumes provided! All are welcome to take part or simply enjoy the fun and festive atmosphere. The Christingles will light up the church with a message of hope and light. All are welcome to join us.
