On Sunday 9th November, the community gathered at the war memorial outside the church for the traditional Remembrance Sunday service. Around 200 people of all ages, veterans, uniformed organisations, and even a few dogs and horses, came together to sing, pray, lay wreaths and remember those who gave their lives in many conflicts for the peace we enjoy today."When you go home, tell them of us and say For your tomorrow we gave our today''
Just pop a donation in the box in the church porch at any time. Our Food Bank coordinator has asked if, as well as basic food items, we could donate any of the following:cranberry sauce, shortbread, crackers, selection boxes, Christmas pudding, mince pies, stuffing mix, non alcoholic fizzy drinks, toiletries for adults. So that the Food Bank can put together parcels in the first 2 weeks of December, we've been asked to leave these donations by the end of November or 4th December at the latest. Thank you! Your generosity is much appreciated.
