BAPTISMS

We hold baptisms at two times on Sunday mornings. We perform them during the 10.30am service and at 12.30pm. Families are free to choose which type of service is best for them. We baptize children from up to two families in the one service. We may not always be able to perform a baptism on the precise date you want as we have to fit things in with our busy parish diary. We try to be flexible but it is not always possible because of other commitments.

10.30am Baptism.

This takes place in our main Sunday morning service. The usual service is thinned slightly to make space for the baptism to happen in the middle. It is a Communion Service. The normal Sunday morning congregation is present. There are hymns, music, and the choir is present. We do baptisms in this service roughly six times each year (every other month). It lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

12.30pm Baptisms

This is a shorter more informal service. There is no communion, no choir, and no hymns. The congregation is usually just the families and their guests. It lasts about 30 minutes.

WEDDINGS AND BANNS

Weddings can be booked at the Clergy Surgery. There we will check whether you have the necessary Qualifying Connection to get married at St Clements and take you through the process.

If you are getting married elsewhere and have been told you need your banns reading at St Clements please do come to our Clergy Surgery. The cost of having your banns published is £34.
