Great Ashfield, All Saints

All Saints, Great Ashfield  is OPEN DAILY FOR PRIVATE PRAYER 10am-4pm

A car park is situated behind the church using the lane to the south of the building, through the ford.

Anyone is welcome to drop in and enjoy this warm-hearted  place, either during the week, or for Sunday services.  A kitchen and toilet are situated under the tower, with refreshments provided if you need a cup of tea or coffee on weekdays.  We are always delighted to read in the visitors' book of those passing through, where they have come from and why they have chosen to visit All Saints.

You may be expecting choir stalls in the chancel, as of old, but the layout has changed.  Nowadays, larger gatherings are held in the main body of the church but several services take place in the cleared space of the chancel on specially purchased chairs, packed away until needed.  There is always someone to welcome you to services and explain what is going on. Refreshments are served after the Family Communion on the 3rd Sunday.

The chancel space lends itself to all manner of activities, one being the Community Breakfast: T.O.A.S.T. on the 4th Sunday of the month.

Great Ashfield holds the Memorial Altar and Window commemorating the 385th USAAF Group that flew from the airfield during WW2, which is why an American 'stars & stripes' hangs in the church. Contact Mr. Roy Barker 07876496063,  [email protected]  if you wish to know more about that period of the history of Great Ashfield.
