The Six Benefice

The Six Benefice

Six village parishes. Seven congregations. One welcoming family.

A place to belong, a faith to explore, a community to share.

Nestled in the beautiful North Kent countryside between Sittingbourne and Rainham, The Six Benefice is a family of village churches, each with its own character, traditions and community.

Our church buildings have stood at the heart of village life for centuries. They are places of beauty, peace and prayer, carrying a timeless message of hope: “I am with you.”

But church is about much more than buildings or Sunday services. It’s about people, relationships and discovering how God’s love can make a difference in our everyday lives.

Inspired by the life and teaching of Jesus, we seek to be people who bless others: through friendship, kindness, practical care and service to our communities. We believe that faith is not simply something we practise on Sundays, but something we live out every day.

Whether you’ve been a Christian all your life, are beginning to explore faith, have questions or doubts, or simply long for a little peace and connection, there is a place for you here.

Across our seven congregations, you’ll find a variety of worship styles, from traditional services in our ancient churches to more contemporary gatherings.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t even need to know what you believe. Just come as you are.

We’d love to welcome you.

Safeguarding

Our Parishes are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSOs). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO [add their details here or use the button to link to a page that shows the info] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [add their details here or use the button below to link to your own page that shows the info or the diocesan safeguarding page]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
