Peak Seven group of churches

Welcome to the Peak Seven* group of churches page. For more information about each of the churches within our group, including service times and contact details, please select a church from the links below.

St Edmund King & Martyr, Fenny Bentley
St Giles, Hartington
St Leonard, Thorpe
St Mary, Tissington
St Michael & All Angels, Alsop-en-le-Dale
St Peter, Parwich
St Thomas's, Biggin

All churches (apart from St Thomas's Biggin which is currently closed for health and safety reasons) are open for private prayer all day, every day, unless there is a funeral or wedding.

The churches of Peak Seven welcome all to worship, irrespective of age or faith commitments. There are normally at least two services every Sunday somewhere within our group including a communion service at 11:15. Click on the calendar of any church from the links above to see all the services.

Thinking of getting married in church? We'd love to say YES! Click here for an online enquiry form.

All are welcome in these ancient spaces where people have prayed for centuries, take a slow walk round the church or simply sit for a while.

* The Peak Seven group of churches are the five parishes within the Peak Five benefice plus the parishes of  St Giles, Hartington and St Thomas's, Biggin.

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO at [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (please call 01332 388678 or complete the Safeguarding Concern Form). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
