Ascension Day Eucharist

An open-air service to celebrate the Ascension of Jesus. This service occurs on the Thursday after the 6th Sunday of Easter and commemorates the ascension of Jesus into Heaven. Ascension is a Principal Feast in the Church of England. Rogation Days are the three days before Ascension Day, when prayer is offered for God’s blessing on the fruits of the earth and on human labour which is why this year, John and Jo Lapthorn are very kindly hosting this service on their farm. However, if the weather is bad, the service will take place in Dodbrooke Church Kingsbridge.
