On 27th June, our LLM Mandy Sarjeant was ordained deacon by the Bishop of Exeter, the Rt Reverend Mike Harrison, in an uplifting service in Exeter Cathedral. Rev'd Mandy is now licensed to the Kingsbridge Estuary Churches Mission Community as a locally deployed, self-supporting minister. We held a special service to welcome the new deacon in Dodbrooke the following day in which she was presented with a Bible, a volume of Common Worship and a beautiful embroidered stole.

Mandy was privileged to have been part of the first cohort to come to ordination via the Exeter Ordination Pathway - an initiative by +Mike for people already serving n their parishes and who feel called to take this further and are recommended by their sending church.

Mandy has lived and worked in and around Kingsbridge since she and her husband moved her in 1988. If you see her around town - do stop and have a chat!
