4 U community café is a central hub for the local residents of Kingsthorpe, Eastern Avenue. We are a non-profit making enterprise existing to serve the community, and any excess generated will be put back into the community.

We aim to provide local residents with an excellent café experience, serving beverages and breakfasts at a minimal cost. Run by volunteers from the local community

You are all cordially invited to join us for a shared faith lunch following the joint Parish service Sunday 1st March.

Before the lunch we will be holding an auction of Talents, Time and Treasures from our incredibly gifted parish members to help raise funds for the St David’s fabric fund.

If you would like to donate an auction lot please talk to our Church Wardens Jane and Philip.

Lots could be something you have crafted, a treasure you want to find a new home for, or an offer to do something practical for someone like mowing a lawn, doing their ironing etc.

Join us for a simple meal together followed by worship and reflection.

Woodland Church meets monthly at Bradlaugh Fields for outdoor wandering, wondering and creativity for all ages.
Start outside St David’s Church at 2pm to walk over together or join us at the park gates by the play area at 2.15pm. Always involves tea and cakes together in the barn around 3.15pm.

Relaxed and welcoming: A chance to share breakfast and conversation around tables in a friendly atmosphere.

Food & fellowship: Breakfast is served from 10.30am, before the service begins at 11am.

Worship together: We explore faith in an informal style, with space for reflection, discussion, and prayer.

Holy Communion: For those who wish, there is also a short service of Said Holy Communion at 10am, followed by refreshments before Café Church begins.

This joint service is a wonderful opportunity to meet across our parish, enjoy good food, and grow together in faith and friendship.

Join us at St David’s on Good Friday morning for a gentle, all‑age time of reflection, creativity, and community. This relaxed gathering is especially suitable for children, with simple activities that help us explore the Easter story in a way that is accessible, thoughtful, and engaging.

We’ll share short reflections, hands‑on crafts, and quiet moments to think about the meaning of Good Friday together. Children can move around freely, take part in the activities at their own pace, and enjoy a warm, friendly space where everyone is welcome.

Whether you’re a family, a grandparent with little ones, or simply someone who appreciates a reflective start to Good Friday, we’d love to welcome you.

Come as you are — stay for as long or as little as you like — and be part of this special moment in Holy Week.

Three hours of prayer, with guided meditations, as we remember Jesus' crucifixion and death. A hymn is sung on each half hour, to allow people opportunity to come in or to leave as they wish.

A service to start our Easter celebrations, commences with the kindling of a new fire outside the church. The service includes the procession and blessing of new candles, incense, singing and the first Holy Communion of Easter

Celebrate the joy of Easter with us our churches gather for Holy Communion at 10am. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as we rejoice in the good news of the Resurrection and the hope it brings to our lives and our world.

Our Easter services are uplifting, friendly, and open to everyone — whether you come often, haven’t been for a while, or are exploring church for the first time. Expect joyful hymns, a warm welcome, and a message of hope as we celebrate the risen Christ.

Children and families are warmly included, and there’s no need to know what to do — simply come as you are and share in this special moment of worship and celebration.
