UPDATE: Feb 2026
The leak in the heating system has now been fixed, and we are pleased to say that services have reverted to their usual timetable. Thank you for your patience and forebearance during the period of upheaval.
The heating capacity of the church itself remains substantially reduced, and until a more permanent solution is effected we will be heavily relying on secondary sources of heat. Hopefully the milder weather will continue into March—in the meantime, please consider wearing an extra layer!

Thankyou to everyone who has helped us to manage the heating breakdown, with engineering skills or by wearing extra layers and making hot drinks!
Unfortunately it’s not possible to resolve the problem quickly; the age of the system in our beautiful old church makes it a complicated repair! However, the heavy heaters used at Christmas have now been taken away and we are delighted that the church can remain open to visitors during daylight hours.
The main Sunday services at All Saints are now held at St Edmund’s church, which is a wonderful opportunity to share even more services than we do at present.
The weekly Morning Prayer and spoken Holy Communion services will continue to take place at All Saints, with smaller temporary heaters in place. Please check the Services and Events section to see all the timings and venue, and do contact the Churchwardens if you have any queries.
These changes will remain in place for the month of January with a further update at the end of the month.
Thankyou to everyone who is assisting these changes, and we look forward to welcoming all our visitors as this New Year unfolds! 🙂🙏
