The church of St Mary Magdalene in Norwich was once described as 'a warm place with open doors'. It is a gathering of people from many different backgrounds and experiences and with many different gifts. We acknowledge our own bits of brokenness and limitation, and know the forgiveness of God in the process of being made whole.
We are brought together by a desire to worship God; to open our doors to and share the journey to faith with the people of this area, and help them respond to the presence of God in their lives; to grown in prayer and service; to meet the needs of local people in co-operation with other local churches; and to live with inclusivity, joy, energy and creativity.
We are half a mile north of Norwich's Anglican cathedral. The church was built in 1903 and has been extended to provide a hall with toilets and a kitchen. A number of groups meet regularly during the week using our facilities, and the hall and other rooms are available to hire for meetings and events.
