Let us worship God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
‘Let the favour of the Lord our God be upon us, and prosper for us the work of our hands— O prosper the work of our hands!’ (Psalm 90)
Hymn: Thou, Whose Almighty Word...
Zephaniah 1:7, 12-18; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
As sisters and brothers in God’s family, we come to ask our Father for forgiveness:Most merciful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we confess that we have sinned in thought, word and deed. We have not loved you with our whole heart. We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves. In your mercy forgive what we have been, help us to amend what we are, and direct what we shall be; that we may do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with you, our God. Amen.
May the God of love bring us back to himself, forgive us our sins, and assure us of his eternal love in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer for the day: Heavenly Lord, you long for the world’s salvation: stir us from apathy, restrain us from excess and revive in us new hope that all creation will one day be healed in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Matthew 25: 14-30

Let us pray: We pray for St Peter’s Church, that we will be a beacon of love to all;We pray for world leaders, especially in the Holy Land, that peace and justice will reign; We pray for all that God has created, that the world and it’s creatures will thrive; We pray for Sheringham, that it’s beating community heart will be strong and healthy; We pray for those who are sick, suffering or struggling, that they will know your healing peace; We pray for the people who have lost loved ones, that they will be comforted.
Let us pray for the coming of God’s kingdom in the prayer that Jesus taught us:Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Hymn: O Perfect Love, all human thought transcending...
May God keep us in all our days; may Christ Jesus shield us in all our ways; may the Holy Spirit bring us healing and peace: and may the blessing of God Almighty who is Father, Son and Hoy Spirit bless us and remain with us always. Amen.
Let us go in peace to love and serve the Lord, in the name of Christ. Amen.
