Safeguarding

Our benefice is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and in the parish it is coordinated by the Rector and the  six Parochial Church Councils. The PCC's annually adopts Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult policies which can be found on the Church of England website: www.churchofengland.org/more/safeguarding

If you believe a child or adult is in immediate danger of significant or serious harm you should contact the emergency services on 999.

You can also talk to Childline on 0800 1111.

Other safeguarding concerns or reports of alleged or suspected abuse should be reported promptly to the Benefice Safeguarding Officer who will then report them to the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisers.
