Using a simple, spoken liturgy, we gather to share in the intimacy of the Eucharist in the beautiful, serene setting of our village church. The service typically lasts around 30 minutes, making it a perfect way to ground oneself in faith before the day begins.

Whether you are a regular communicant or simply seeking a moment of stillness and connection, you will find a warm welcome. This is an informal and inclusive gathering, open to all who wish to share in this quiet act of worship. No need to worry about formality or following a complex order of service—just come as you are and find a few moments of peace and reflection to carry with you through the rest of your day.

We are delighted to be celebrating Mothering Sunday this year with two special services across our benefice. Whether you join us at Edgefield Church or at Plumstead Church, both services begin at 10:30am, and you can expect a warm welcome and a service designed to bring the whole community together.

This is a day when we think beyond simply 'mothers' and celebrate 'mothering' in all its forms. It's about showing appreciation for all who care for others—whether that's mums, grandmas, aunties, godparents, teachers, or friends. We will be giving thanks for the special people who nurture and guide our children and young people, and for the many different kinds of families we represent. Children are especially welcome at both services, and we hope families will come along to share in this joyful and inclusive celebration as we honour the special mother-figures in our lives.

Meditation has become a regular and enriching part of our community life. Each first and third Wednesday at 6pm, we gather to quieten our minds and create space for God to work within us. Whether you are an experienced meditator or simply curious, we warmly welcome you to join us on this journey.

We believe that meditation is a skill that can be developed over time, much like prayer. It’s an opportunity to intentionally step away from the noise of daily life and enter a state of peaceful awareness. In this silence, we can listen for God’s guidance and deepen our spiritual connection. It is a time to simply "be" with God, without the need for words or specific requests.

Our sessions are usually around 30 minutes and to help you feel more comfortable during the session, we suggest bringing a cushion for the pews.

With activities especially planned for children, families are not just welcome—you are at the very heart of our celebration. There will be chances for little ones to engage with the story through craft, colouring, or simple activities, all while staying close to the main service.

Whether you are a regular visitor, returning to church after a long time, or simply curious about what Easter really means, you will find a warm welcome.
