Meditation has become a regular and enriching part of our community life. Each first and third Wednesday at 6pm, we gather to quieten our minds and create space for God to work within us. Whether you are an experienced meditator or simply curious, we warmly welcome you to join us on this journey.

We believe that meditation is a skill that can be developed over time, much like prayer. It’s an opportunity to intentionally step away from the noise of daily life and enter a state of peaceful awareness. In this silence, we can listen for God’s guidance and deepen our spiritual connection. It is a time to simply "be" with God, without the need for words or specific requests.

Our sessions are usually around 30 minutes and to help you feel more comfortable during the session, we suggest bringing a cushion for the pews.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Harvest Festival at Baconsthorpe

Our Harvest Festival continues a tradition that goes back generations, when communities depended directly on the land for their food and gathered together each autumn to give thanks for a successful harvest safely brought in. Today, although our lives may be very different, Harvest remains a wonderful opportunity to pause and give thanks for the food we enjoy, the people who produce it, and the beauty and abundance of the natural world.

Join us at Baconsthorpe for a traditional and joyful service of singing, thanksgiving and celebration. All are warmly welcome, whether you regularly attend church or simply want to share in this much-loved village tradition.

Following the service there will be a light lunch - details to follow.

Christingle

You are warmly invited to our Christingle Service — a joyful and family-friendly celebration at the heart of the Christmas season. The service is centred around the Christingle, a decorated orange with a candle, ribbon, and sweets, which together tell the story of God’s light and love for the world.

Children (and adults too!) will be given a Christingle to hold as we sing, listen to the Christmas story, and share in the wonder of this special tradition. It’s a beautiful way to pause in the busyness of December, and to experience the hope and joy that Christmas brings.

Whether you’ve been to a Christingle service many times before, or are coming along for the first time, you’ll find a warm welcome for all ages. Bring your family, invite your friends, and come and share the light with us this Christmas.
