Meditation has become a regular and enriching part of our community life. Each first and third Wednesday at 6pm, we gather to quieten our minds and create space for God to work within us. Whether you are an experienced meditator or simply curious, we warmly welcome you to join us on this journey.

We believe that meditation is a skill that can be developed over time, much like prayer. It’s an opportunity to intentionally step away from the noise of daily life and enter a state of peaceful awareness. In this silence, we can listen for God’s guidance and deepen our spiritual connection. It is a time to simply "be" with God, without the need for words or specific requests.

Our sessions are usually around 30 minutes and to help you feel more comfortable during the session, we suggest bringing a cushion for the pews.

We look forward to seeing you there.

At this months Family Church, we’re exploring The Sower and the Seeds — a story Jesus told about seeds falling on different kinds of ground.

Through fun activities, hands-on learning, and a look at Matthew 13, we’ll discover how God’s love and truth can grow in our lives when our hearts are ready to receive them. What helps faith grow strong? What can stop it from growing?

Come along as a family and find out how God can help us become like good soil, ready to grow and produce something wonderful.

Everyone is very welcome to join us for a message, a song, and a prayer, followed by craft activities and a light tea together. We’d love to see you there

Morning Communion

You are warmly invited to our Sunday morning service — a time of song, prayer, reflection, and shared worship. This is a Eucharist (or Holy Communion) service, where we remember and give thanks for the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Whether you’ve been to church many times before or this is your very first visit, you’ll be made to feel welcome. There’s no dress code and no expectations — just come as you are.

The service includes hymns (songs), readings from the Bible, a short talk, and the sharing of bread and wine (or a blessing if you prefer not to receive communion). Children are very welcome — we’re used to a bit of noise and movement, and there’s space for them to feel comfortable.

After the service, we’d love you to stay for a cup of tea or coffee, a biscuit, and a chat. It’s a great way to meet others and find out more if you’re curious.

Edgefield Church is a place for everyone — wherever you are on your journey of faith (or even if you’re just wondering what it’s all about), you are welcome here.
