The Veneration of the Cross Service, observed on Good Friday, is a solemn and reverent gathering in the Christian tradition. During this poignant ceremony, worshippers venerate the symbol of the cross, the instrument of Christ's sacrifice. The service often includes scripture readings, hymns, and solemn prayers, creating a contemplative atmosphere as congregants approach the cross to express their devotion and gratitude. Through acts of reverence, such as kissing or bowing before the cross, participants engage in a tangible and symbolic demonstration of their faith, commemorating the profound significance of Christ's crucifixion and the redemptive message at the heart of the Christian faith.

Children and Youngsters are welcome to come to the Village Hall for activities if they don't want to join in the sombre service in the Church. They can then join the parents afterwards for Hot Cross Buns back at the Church.

He is risen!

Join us on Easter Day for a joyful and uplifting service as we celebrate the heart of the Christian faith—the resurrection of Jesus. This is the most special and joyful day in our church calendar, and we would love for you and your family to be part of it.

Our service will be a wonderful opportunity for all ages to come together and share in the incredible story of Easter morning. We'll be exploring what it means that the tomb was found empty and that Jesus is alive, in ways that speak to both young and old. With activities especially planned for children, families are not just welcome—you are at the very heart of our celebration. There will be chances for little ones to engage with the story through craft, colouring, or simple activities, all while staying close to the main service.

Whether you are a regular visitor, returning to church after a long time, or simply curious about what Easter really means, you will find a warm welcome. Come and share in the joy, the hope, and the wonder of this most holy day. Together, we will discover that Easter is not just a story from long ago, but good news for us all, right here and right now. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

He is risen Indeed!
