About Us
Welcome ❤️
Welcome to St Nicholas’, Churchstoke! http://www.stnicholaschurchstoke.org.uk/
Our Vision is to be disciples of Jesus Christ, to grow the Church and extend the Kingdom – for the glory of God and the blessing of our community
Please come and see us, everyone is so welcome to be a part of the wonderful worship in our lovely church. Whether you are visiting the area or live locally, we would love to see you!
If you are looking for help and support, friendship, have questions about faith, want to spend some time with God and Jesus, would like someone to pray for you or with you, are looking to grow your faith, come along.
Our Worship
is every Sunday at 10.30am
is a mix of Bible teaching, prayers, modern songs and well-known hymns
Holy Communion is the first Sunday of each month, while we are looking for a new vicar.
Morning Praise is on the second, third and fourth Sundays, hosted by our team of lay commissioned worship leaders and missioners along with the church wardens and PCC.
Some of our services are "Sunday Central" with different activities to engage in depending on who is running the service, these may include games, craft, prayer and reflection, there is always something for all ages. These special services will be advertised on our website and Facebook page, see the News and notices page for details.
Our People
Our Mission Priest, Reverend Carol Whittock retired in June and our benefice Priest, Reverend Giles Tulk retired in August and so we are looking for a new vicar!
In the meantime, our great team of church wardens, lay commissioned worship leaders, local missioners and PCC are working together with the congregation to continue to hold services every Sunday at 10:30 as well as our regular weekly activities, which are all advertised on our website and Facebook page. Please come along and be part of it. Everyone is most welcome!
Our Benefice
We are part of the OnnyCamlad Group of Parishes (named after two rivers).
We believe in:
God the Father, Creator of all things
Jesus Christ, God the Son, who died on the cross in our place. He rose again, enabling those who believe to rise again to eternal life with God
God the Holy Spirit, who gives us power to follow Jesus as His disciples
