Churchstoke with Sarn: St Nicholas

Welcome to St Nicholas’, Churchstoke!

Our Vision is to be disciples of Jesus Christ, to grow the Church and extend the Kingdom – for the glory of God and the blessing of our community.

Our Worship

Takes place every Sunday at 10.30am with a mix of Bible teaching, prayers, modern songs and well-known hymns. We have wonderful singers and also a worship band to lead our worship.

Holy Communion is on the first Sunday of each month (while we are looking for a new vicar).

Some of our services include time for reflection, activities, such as craft or games and prayer designed for all ages. These are advertised on our Facebook page.

On the second Sunday of each month we have Kidz Klub at 10:30 for children up to 11 years of age. Children join the service for worship with flags and streamers and dancing and then join our Kidz Klub leaders in our lovely coffee lounge at the back of the  church for a Bible story, songs, games and craft.

Our People

We are currently looking for a new a vicar (we in an interregnum). In the meantime, our team of Church Wardens and lay commissioned worship leaders and missioners are working with the PCC and other members of the congregation to continue to provide services every Sunday at 10:30am, as well as continuing our activities for children and teenagers, weekly prayer meetings, monthly prayer and praise evenings and mens' breakfasts.

Church Wardens: Steph Daniel ([email protected], 07702 009096) and Clive Sawyer  ([email protected], 07796676075).

Worship leaders: Lesley Oldham, Clive Sawyer, Lucy Swallow, Mark Swallow, Dawn James, Nick James

Local Missioners: Maria Sawyer and Margaret Wallsgrove

Our Benefice

We are part of the OnnyCamlad Group of Parishes (named after two rivers).

We believe in:

God the Father, Creator of all things.

Jesus Christ, God the Son, who died on the cross in our place. He rose again, enabling those who believe to rise again to eternal life with God

God the Holy Spirit, who gives us power to follow Jesus as His disciples
