There will be just one service in the Presteigne Group of Parishes this Sunday, 30 August (Trinity 13) 11 am Presteigne Festival Eucharist The preacher will be the Dean of Hereford, the Very Reverend Sarah Brown, and music will be led by The Choir of King’s College, London, conducted by Patrick Allies, with organist Theo Geilesky. The service setting will be Cecilia McDowall’s Missa Mariae and the choir will also sing Sarah Quartel’s Sing, my child and Kristina Arakelyan’s You know me. Everyone is welcome to attend this service, both regular members of our congregations and visitors, whether you are going to other festival events or not. Please do come and join us! This Thursday, 14 May, is Ascension Day, which marks the bodily ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven, 40 days after Easter, and the end of his ministry on earth. There will be a service of Holy Communion in St Andrew’s Presteigne at 8 am, followed by breakfast in the Church Hall.Everyone is welcome to join us (but you only get breakfast if you’ve been to the service!).
