CHILDREN & YOUTH
We warmly welcome the next generation:
Here at St. Mary's Church, Little Birch, we welcome our young people with open arms and greatly value their role in our church. Here are a couple of ways they can become involved with life with us:
Reading Rota: We currently have two people on our reading rota under 15 years of age. By going on our reading rota, our young people can gain confidence by practicing their public speaking.
Participation in services: Years ago at Little Birch, we had a dedicated family service where, together with their parents, young people would introduce the family service through drama. Why not help us develop a nucleus of young people so we can look to bring that back? Meanwhile, we are very open to young people helping in other ways such as taking the collection and presenting it at the altar.
Kids-Zone: Kids-Zone is our children's creche and play area. It has lots of toys to keep the children entertained while the adults enjoy the service.
Breast feeding Mums: Here at Little Birch, we believe breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world, and we welcome breastfeeders. Please feel free to use the pews in the Kids-Zone area for this purpose.
Please feel free to share your ideas with us about how we can involve our Children and young people and make them feel welcome.
