We are enormously grateful to Mrs Meg Lawrence for the gift to St Andrew’s of the house organ which belonged to her late husband, Dr David Lawrence, and to its builder, Derrick Carrington, who has reassembled and installed it in our south aisle over the past few months. The organ is now up and running and has been played at some recent services, and are delighted with it.

Do join us on Friday 8 August at 6 pm for a celebration and demonstration of the instrument by our team of five organists – St Andrew’s is unusually blessed in having so many skilled players who take turns to accompany our services each week. The musical programme will last an hour, including chorales sung by St Andrew’s Choir, and will be followed by wine and nibbles. There is no charge and everyone is welcome to attend.
