After over a year without an incumbent, we finally have our very own Priest in Charge in the Benefice. Anne was officially licensed and installed as the Priest in Charge on Monday 27th November in Wellington church at a very well attended service and is now "good to go". The interregnum has been a long and, at times, a trying period but we are now through that and we can look forward with confidence as Anne prepares to lead us onwards.

For those wondering why we have a Priest in Charge rather than a Vicar, it is, in simple terms, a church legal procedure to enable a priest to fill the position whilst a review is underway of the benefices and ministry in the area before a decision is made on their future shape and size.
