31 decorated Christmas trees were displayed in the church over the period 8 - 10 December and despite the weather, attracted visitors both from Wellington and from places further afield. A great deal of imagination and a lot of hard work was evident in the varied offerings and generated much admiration and, in some cases, amusement.
The event also included a number of stalls selling locally produced crafts. Together with the Christmas trees these once again displayed the enormous creative talent that lies in our midst. We are truly blessed.
The event featured an interlude on Sunday afternoon where the newly formed Wellington band of hand bell ringers demonstrated their new found skills and culminated with a short service of prayer and carols.
