Dawn Service on Easter Day

Occurring
for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
St Mary's, Frome
Address
Innox Hill Frome Bath, BA11 2LN, United Kingdom

This service begins while it is still dark and we light the fire and tell some of the stories that shape our faith. As the dawn breaks we celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
The service takes place outside. It will be cold and the grass is usually wet. You might like to bring a chair to sit on. At the end of the service we carry the Easter light into the church where we bless the Easter garden and then make our way to the hall for breakfast.

Christ Church

Welcome to Christ Church Frome.  We are a faithful, friendly and inclusive church in the middle of Frome. We might be described as 'middle of the road' Anglican .. but definitely not boring!

We have a strong musical tradition and our choir sings at the main 10.30 service and at our monthly Choral Evensong.

We have a particular concern for the environment and our churchyard is becoming a haven for wildlife and biodiversity. We are currently undertaking a project to 'energise our sacred space' by repairing our roof and creating accessible and attractive worship space.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Frome: Christ Church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Dr. Sarah Eyles [email protected] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (bath wells.anglican.org/safeguarding) If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
