Bath & Wells
Welcome to Christ Church Frome.
We are pleased to announce that public worship has resumed at Christ Church with a Said Eucharist alternating on a weekly basis between 8.30 am and 10 am (please check our web site for up to the minute information).
Restrictions are in place according to Government and Diocesan guidelines.
Social distancing continues and you will be asked to provide your contact phone number for the purposes of tracking and tracing.
Please do use the hand sanitiser provided in the dispensers in the porches of both of our churches and we are all required to wear face coverings unless under 11 years of age, with a health condition which prevents us from doing so or if accompanying a person who relies on being able to lip-read what we are saying.
If you or any of your family, friends, neighbours would like prayers, conversation or support please contact Rev Liz on 01373 473249 or by email - [email protected]
Christ Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO), Dr Sarah Eyles. The Diocese of Bath & Wells’ safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
While our churches were closed, we continued to pay insurance and the parish share to the common fund which pays the stipends of our Clergy who are all continuing to be active in their service despite the unprecedented circumstances which we have all been experiencing. Without regular contributions and fees from occasional offices (weddings, Baptisms and funerals), our finances inevitably “took a hit”. If there is any way you can offer to our churches any contribution no matter how small, please contact Richard Pinnock, our treasurer on 07946 614464. If you usually make your offering into the collection plate, it would be most helpful if you would consider changing to monthly direct debit.
With many thanks for your support.

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
