St Michael & All Angels
We are a Church of England church on the eastern side of the town of Yeovil in Somerset, UK. We have a rich history of being part of the catholic tradition in the Church of England, of which we seek to maintain but in a modern catholic manner.
All are welcome to any of our events and services. There is disabled access, a loop system and a children's corner.
Our tagline is: 'To serve God, to serve one another, to love our local community'.
"We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, widowed, gay, confused, filthy rich, comfortable or dirt poor. We extend a special welcome to wailing babies and excited toddlers.
We welcome you whether you can sing like Pavarotti or just growl quietly to yourself. Your welcome here if you’re ’just browsing’, just woken up or just got out of prison. We don’t care if you’re more Christian than the Archbishop of Canterbury, or haven’t been in church since Christmas 10 years ago.
We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60, but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome keep-fit mums, football dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems, are down in the dumps or don’t like ‘organised religion’. (We’re not that keen either!)
We offer a welcome to those who think the world is flat, work too hard, don’t work, can’t spell or are here because granny is visiting and wanted to come to see the church.
We welcome those who are inked, pierced, both or neither. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down their throat as kids or got lost in the city centre and wound up here by mistake. We welcome pilgrims, tourists, seekers, doubters … and you!"

We know that we have not yet achieved this but hopefully we are working toward lowering any boundaries that prevents anyone encountering Jesus Christ and his love.
The parish of Yeovil: St Michael & All Angels is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies but we currently do not have a Parish Safeguarding Officer. The Diocese of Bath & Wells’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA). If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
