This is a great opportunity for the local community of Coxley, and the area around Wells to enjoy cold or hot drinks at Christ Church Coxley. The church is a very pleasant tempreture on hot days, and it's heated on cold days, so come and enjoy space all year round!

Join us for a traditional and musical evening service.

This is a beautiful service, which uses service booklets so that you know which parts the minister says, and which parts the congregation say aloud. One of the main parts of the service is the Psalm for the day, which is either said aloud or sung. This is followed by readings from the Bible, including the joyous words of the Virgin Mary when she learned she would give birth to Jesus, and the heartfelt words of Simeon, when he recognises the Messiah when he meets Jesus. The service ends with prayers: the Lord's Prayer, the prayer for the day, a prayer for peace and a prayer for help against troubles. There are four hymns which are sung during the service, and a a short talk too.

We explore the possibility of admitting being wrong and the power of love. This session is part of a series: ‘The Mystery of Everything’, which draws on the lives of Stephen and Jane Hawkins, and which features clips from the film 'The Theory of Everything'. During the series we will explore ways that the mysteries of the universe and of everyday life can energise our faith and spiritual journeys. The sessions are all standalone sessions, so if you can’t attend all of the sessions you’ll still get something out of it. Crafty things to make and do while caring for creation. Help Wookey Church’s Churchyard continue to be a haven for insects and wildlife. Join us for a range of activities: bird feeders to make; biscuits to decorate (and eat); butterfly pictures to paint; bugs to find; bulbs to plant; and bug hotel to replenish.

The service is for all ages, with singing, Bible readings, prayers, and a short talk. There is space for children to play and be creative in the church, or they can join in with the service. This is a more relaxed church service than other Holy Communion services, making it great if you're exploring your faith. Everyone is welcome, and there's a chance to chat to other people after the service over coffee.

Join us at this informal brunch at Christ Church Coxley. There'll be food, an optional quiz and a talk. There is also activities and crafts for children to do. This is a great monthly event to attend, and new people and families are always welcome to come along.

40 days after Easter, we are celebrating the ascension of Jesus to Heaven, with a special Holy Communion service. This year the service is taking place in Wookey Church.

We’ll meet at Wookey Church at 3pm for our annual prayer walk, this year going from Wookey to Coxley. As we walk we’ll be stopping to pray for key places in our communities. We’ll end the walk at Coxley Church, where there’ll be tea and cakes. The walk will go along roads, footpaths and some uneven surfaces. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join in too. If people would just like to attend the refreshments at Coxley Church you are very welcome to do so! We aim to be there around 4:30pm. No need to book – just turn up.

At Pentecost we give thanks for God's spirit - changing and empowering Jesus' followers. Jesus’ disciples changed from being fearful to courageous. Jesus was no longer with them physically, but God’s Holy Spirit was and still can bring us courage and fullness of life. There'll be Holy Communion, songs, Bible readings, prayers and a short talk to inspire.

This is the only service taking place in our churches this Sunday, so we hope that you can join us!
