The Bible can seem like a confusing assortment of events, poems and wise words. The Bible Course explains how the parts of the Bible come together to reveal an eternal God who keeps his promises.

Over 8 sessions we will journey through the sections and events of the Bible, and introduce key characters. Each session of The Bible Course uses video and discussions, but no prior knowledge is required and a course book is available. Join us for a short Holy Communion service without singing. Everyone is welcome to attend even if you don't live in the village. This is a great service to come to if you find it difficult to attend Sunday services or if you want to celebrate Holy Communion during the week.

Looking for a fun team game to enjoy over the school Summer Holidays – come and join Revd Jan for a free game of rounders on Thursdays in August. If it’s wet we won’t play. Don’t forget to bring a bottle of water with you, and under 8’s must come with a guardian.

Everyone from the local area is welcome to come and enjoy free cold and hot drinks at our weekly cafe. It's a great place to meet people, and you're welcome to bring boardgames, books and craft activities with you too. In the winter months it's a Warm Space, and in August there's a art activity.

The summer is here, and that means that the August Art Project is back at Coxley Community Café! This year, we’re upcycling card and tin pots into pen pots. Get creative with painting and embellishing. This is a free activity for children and adults of all ages to enjoy. You can come to one session or multiple ones.

Join us at this informal brunch at Coxley Church. There'll be food, an optional quiz and a talk. There are also activities and crafts for children to do. This is a great monthly event to attend, and new people and families are always welcome to come along.

Here's your opportunity to have a tasty Cream Tea in a lovely garden in Coxley, and raise money for Coxley Church. There will be range of stalls (Nearly New/Gifts/Cakes and Plants) to enjoy and a raffle too. If it's wet, we'll be inside. We hope to see you there!

Come and join us in Wookey Churchyard by the River Axe for a really fun evening for all of the community! There'll be food, bar, games and a range of stalls (Cakes/ Homegrown/ tombolas and more) opening from 5pm. Plastic ducks race down the River Axe for 5 races, with local businesses providing the prizes. First race is at 5:30pm. Ducks are £1 per race. Money raised goes to Wookey Church. Please bring cash with you.

A group for babies, toddlers, pre-school children and their parents/guardians/carers to attend, where children can enjoy playing together with a story, songs and refreshments. It's also a great place to meet other adults caring for little ones of a similar age. This group runs term time only.

A quiet hour to refresh your inner self with Taizé style prayer and worship. We’ll focus on ‘Learning to Pray.’ With readings, a beautiful selection of chants, silence and prayers – take time out for quiet reflection.

Wookey Church is named after Saint Matthew’s and we’ve holding a special Open Day which all of the community is invited to attend.

Ever wondered what the view is from the top of the church tower? Join a free tower tour to see part of St Matthew’s which is normally off limits. Outside, we’re holding a treasure hunt for children with nature activities explore how the churchyard supports local wildlife. Inside, there’s a self-guided Walking Tour around the church showing some interesting historical features. There’s an I-Spy Quest for children to enjoy too. Want to just relax? Come and enjoy tea and cakes, and listen to a performance by Choirworks! All donations are welcome, to help us maintain this historic church, and benefit the local community.

Join us for a traditional and musical evening service. There are Psalms said aloud or sung, Bible readings, prayers, a short sermon and hymns sung to organ music. The joyous words of the Virgin Mary, or the heartfelt words of Simeon may also be included.
