The Church is open every from 9:30 to dusk with exceptions for very poor or weather.
Getting here
There's been a church in Compton Dando since 1143. It's a beautiful church in a lovely setting, ideal for weddings. The church is floodlit from dusk to dawn.
We have a medieval tower and a peel of 6 bells which are rung regularly. We have a beautiful glass walled bell ringing floor in the tower so that visitors and those attending services can see what the bell ringers are up to.
Ordinarily we have comfortable seating on chairs in the north aisle to make our space flexible for Cafe Church services on the second Sunday of every month from 10:00am onwards, special events, weddings, funerals, and disability access. But not during Covid 19.
A short weekday holy communion is every Thursday at 10:30am in the choir stalls.
Cream Teas with home made cakes are served every Sunday from May 29th in the summer from 2pm to 5pm.
Christmas services are: Christmas carol service 17th December 6:00pm.
Christmas Day communion is 10:30am.
