Holy Communion

Monthly. Every Third Sunday at for 45 mins

A service of Holy Communion using seasonal variations, with hymns.
Services are held in the main church during warm weather, and in the church room during winter months, when heating the main building is difficult and costly. All are welcome to receive bread (wafer) dipped in wine, representing the body and blood of our Saviour, or a blessing. Services are followed by refreshments when we catch up on the parish news.

A lay led service in the Iona Tradition, with prayers, readings and hymns, held in the Church Room during colder months. The service is followed by refreshments so we have the opportunity to share news.

United Benefice Holy Communion

Every Fifth Sunday at for 1 hour

The United Benefice Holy Communion is a Family Friendly service on the fifth Sunday in the month, which is held in sequence at each of the three churches in the Benefice.(Pill, Easton-in-Gordano and Portbury) Please consult our notice board to establish the venue. Since the pandemic our celebrant dips a wafer in blessed wine for each celebrant, but we do not sip from a common cup to minimise the risk of infection.

A lay led service of worship including prayers, hymns and homily. The service will be held in the Church Room during colder months as the smaller space may be adequately heated. The service is followed by refreshments so we can exchange news, On the Second Sunday of each month, our service is enhanced by live music.
