Churches Together bring a public witness and service to our villages. The walk starts at 10.30 am from St George Church going through the village, and featuring several stops for Bible readings, hymns, prayers and meditations and ending at 12.00 noon at Pill Precinct, for a short service in the open air. We finish with the distribution of hot cross buns and Easter eggs for childrenm

Christ Church

Happy New Year!  We pray that 2026 will bring peace to this troubled world.

 Last Sunday we joined in an ecumenical service to mark the week of Prayer for Christian Unity at the Church on the Green, so this  coming Sunday we will have a service of Holy Communion at 10.30 am at Christ Church.

Our service will be followed by light refreshments, as we catch up on news across the parish, so please come and join us.

Our Readings are:

Acts  Chapter  9, verses 1-22 The Conversion of Saul

and Matthew chapter 19, verses 27-30  The first shall be last 

As we conclude this Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, help us to be 'One Body and One Spirit.' We pray for all Christians, that the Holy Spirit may heal our divisions and draw all believers into a deeper unity of faith, hope, and love. Lord, fill our hearts with hope and help us trust in Your plan, even when we cannot see the way. 

Amen."
