Holy Communion

Occurring
Monthly. Every Third Sunday at for 45 mins
Venue
Christ Church
Address
Church Place Pill Bristol, BS20 0AE, United Kingdom

A service of Holy Communion using seasonal variations, with hymns.
Services are held in the main church during warm weather, and in the church room during winter months, when heating the main building is difficult and costly. All are welcome to receive bread (wafer) dipped in wine, representing the body and blood of our Saviour, or a blessing. Services are followed by refreshments when we catch up on the parish news.

Christ Church

The loss of a loved one does not stop when all the arrangements for the funeral are over – in fact, it may be even more difficult to face the new situation when there is nothing practical to be done. Or, after some time has passed, we just need a little space to reflect and to remember.

For this reason, we warmly invite you to the All Souls’ Day Service at Christ Church, Pill, on Sunday 2nd November, at 6pm, when we have the names of our loved ones read out in an act of commemoration, listen to some music and poetry, and light a candle.

There will be a sheet at the back of church for you to write down the name(s) as you come in before the service, so they will be read out at a particular moment. Do please join us.

“Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”
