Candlemas marks the last Sunday in Epiphany, when thaditionally candles were blessed to mark Christ being acknowledged as the light of the world.

This Sunday, we celebrate Candlemas with a service of Moiorning Worship at 10.30am.

Our service will be followed by light refreshments, as we catch up on news across the parish, so please come and join us.

Our Readings are:

Hebrews Chapter 2 verses 14-18  Jesus shared our humanity, so understands our weaknesses

and Mark chapter 2, verses 22-40  The presentation of Jesus in the temple, and trhe testimony of Simeon and Anna

Lord Jesus Christ, as a child you were presented in the Temple and received with joy by Simeon and Anna as Redeemer of Israel: mercifully grant that we like them, may be guided by the Holy Spirit to acknowledge and love you until the end of our lives.

Amen.
