A lay led service in the Iona Tradition, with prayers, readings and hymns, held in the Church Room during colder months. The service is followed by refreshments so we have the opportunity to share news.

Christ Church

This Sunday, the eighth Sunday after Trinity our service of Morning Worship is at 10.30 am and we welcome Madeleine Hellier, who will preach about the Mothers' Union and Mary Sumner. Steve Bloggs will enliven our worship with live music, and you are invited to join us with light refreshments after the service, when we catch up on the week's news.

Our readings this Sunday are Isaiah chapter 1: Verses 10-20  God's warning to Sodom and Gomorrah

Luke chapter 12 verses 32 - 40 Be Ready, for you do know the hour that the Lord Returns

Loving Lord,

We thank you for your love so freely given to us all. We pray for families around the world.
Bless the work of the Mothers' Union as we seek to share your love through the encouragement, strengthening and support of marriage and family life.
Empowered by your Spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world.
