A lay led service in the Iona Tradition, with prayers, readings and hymns, held in the Church Room during colder months. The service is followed by refreshments so we have the opportunity to share news.

Christ Church

Sunday June 1st is the seventh Sunday of Easter,  Join us this Sunday for a service of Morning Worship at 10.30 am, which is followed by light refreshments in the Church Room, as we catch up on parish news and enjoy each others company.  The time between Jesus ascension into heaven, and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost is a time of waiting, for the church, and a time to renew our faith in God as revealed through Jesus. 

Our readings for this Sunday are:

Acts Chapter 16, verses 16-34  Paul and Silas are imprisoned, but released by an earthquake,

John Chapter 17, verses 20-26 Jesus prays for all believers that they may have unity, just as Jesus and His Father have unity.
