Lent Lunch

Our popular Lent Lunches at Chedzoy Village Hall are back in 2026 but this is your only chance. A two course lunch of home made soup, served with crusty bread, followed by cheese and biscuits for £7.00 per person. Card payment accepted. Palm Sunday Service

A Service of worship to celebrate Palm Sunday when Jesus arrived in Jerusalem to crowds and cheers. His triumphant entry into Jerusalem has been celebrated on the Sunday before Easter since the first centuries of Christianity.

The crowds waved palm branches and covered his path with them. We remember this with crosses made from palm leaves, blessed and given to each member of the congregation to take with them. Traditionally, these are burned on Ash Wednesday of the following year.

A Service of Holy Communion takes place at our sister church in Westonzoyland on this day at 10.30 am

Good Friday Liturgy Service

Our Good Friday services will follow the traditional pattern of a 10.30 am service at our sister church in Westonzoyland to remember that Jesus carried his cross through the streets of Jerusalem. Then, in the afternoon, Good Friday reflection continues with a service at Chedzoy at 2.30 pm. You are welcome to come to both or just one of these services. Refreshments will be available at Chedzoy after the service.

Easter Day Worship and Communion Service

On Easter Sunday this year we are joining with the congregation at our sister church, St Mary's Westonzoyland, for an Easter Communion Service to mark Christ's resurrection on the first Easter morning. This special service will be led by the Bishop of Taunton, the Rt Revd Fiona Gibson. Refreshments available after the service. Please note there will be no service in Chedzoy on this Sunday.

Annual Meeting

Under the Church Representation Rules PCCs must hold an Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM). At the APCM the annual report and financial statements for the previous year are presented and officers are appointed for the current year. You are invited to come, receive the report, and hear how Chedzoy PCC has been working in the past year. Your support is very welcome.
