The Well - Refreshment Kiosk

Following a presentation to Ilminster Town Council in early 2025, where we shared our vision for a church-run refreshment kiosk on the Recreation Ground, we have now opened The Well on Ilminster's main recreation ground.

This project builds upon our monthly Roots and Shoots (Outdoor Church) sessions to provide a more regular Christian presence among the users of this popular play area and public open space.

Not only do we serve drinks and snacks, but our Safer Recruited volunteers can provide a listening ear for anyone who needs it and offer prayer as appropriate.

To ensure that all local residents and visitors can make full use of the local facilities on the Recreation Ground, we have a range of items to borrow, from picnic blankets, tennis and table tennis rackets, to footballs and equipment for other field games. And, to encourage care for creation, we have partnered with Green Ilminster to provide litter pickers for those who are keen to do their bit to keep our fabulous shared open space tidy.

As our volunteer team grows, we hope to open more regularly and into the evenings, responding to a locally identified need for detached youth work.

You can support us by:

- Praying for the project and the volunteer team.

- Registering your interest in becoming a volunteer baker, or join the team serving drinks and snacks with a smile! All volunteers who serve at The Well will need to be Safer Recruited and safeguarding trained, but we can talk you through what this involves and support you along the way. Use our contact form and select 'Other' from the Subject dropdown menu to register your interest.
