The Revd Graham Stephenson will lead his fourth annual study course, completing a look at the major parts of the New Testament. This year's course will be on The Forgotten and Hidden Books of Early Christianity. Come and discover why we have 27 books in the New Testament, and only four gospels, when we now know, because of recent archaeological discoveries, of at least five times that number, (including whole or part books of more than forty gospels). Read some of this forgotten and hidden material for yourself, and consider whether or not limiting the New Testament has been good or bad for the church? Because of the need to provide course materials please let Graham know if you would like to attend on 01460-52470, or by email to [email protected].

St Mary's, The Minster, Ilminster

Whether a local Ilminster resident, or just passing through, we are delighted to welcome new visitors to our lovely church.  We have a number of regular services throughout the week (a monthly summary of which can be viewed or downloaded from  the News and notices section), along with a range of other groups, events and activities to introduce you to our friendly church family.

For those unable to attend services in person, we also provide an option to watch livestreamed services via our Facebook page.

In addition to our 15th Century Minster, we are particularly blessed to have The Minster Rooms, which host our Church Office, as well as numerous church and community events throughout the week.  The recently refurbished rooms are a fantastic asset right in the heart of the town.  Why not join us for coffee after a service one Sunday morning and see for yourself!

As one of two churches within the Benefice of Ilminster and Whitelackington, our shared Mission is to be Beacons of Christ’s light – sharing our love for God and our neighbours.  We aim to achieve this through our worship; our service to one another, our local community and wider world; and in striving for justice and fairness.

To find out more, please take a look at the About us section, or contact the office to receive our weekly Benefice Update.
