Palm Sunday, falling on March 29, 2026, marks Jesus's triumphal entry into Jerusalem, initiating Holy Week. It commemorates the crowds waving palm branches and laying cloaks to welcome him as he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. It is a day of mixed emotions, celebrating his kingship while looking ahead to his crucifixion.

The combination of Foot Washing (the Mandatum from which we get Maundy) and Eucharist is a central feature of Christian worship, particularly on Maundy Thursday, which commemorates the Last Supper. This ritual acts as a, visual and experiential, act, modelling Christ's command of humility and service.
