Visiting us

The church of St Peter stands on a hill at the east end of the village from which there are magnificent views over farmland to the Quantocks. It is a medieval foundation though the remains of a Saxon cross are in the churchyard (which remains open for burials). The church, which holds about 150 people, is built in red sandstone, has an impressive tower and there are good stained glass windows. The five bells were re-hung and the tower refurbished in the 1990's.

A further item of interest is our hassocks. These are displayed on the national website Parish Kneelers A particularly endearing one is of Jasper the cat walking past the church.
