St Stephen's Blackburn
Welcome to the website of St Stephen's’ Cof E Church in Blackburn, Lancashire
WE LOVE JESUS – WE LOVE OUR NEIGHBOURS – WE RESPECT DIVERSITY IN LITTLE HARWOOD
St Stephen's church is a worshipping Christian community in the Little Harwood area of north Blackburn and extend a warm welcome to all. Our building dates back to the late 1800's and is dedicated to St Stephen the first Christian martyr whose story is told in the beautiful stained glass windows inside the church building (you can read his story in the Bible in the Acts of the Apostles chapters 5 and 6). As the only Christian church in Little Harwood we welcome people from all Christian denominations, those who have no connection with any church and those who would just simply like to find out more about the Christian faith to worship with us. We are proud of our links with our church school and our community.
Whilst our normal activities are suspended during the current pandemic, we remain a praying community in the strength of Jesus Christ even though we are dispersed.
May the amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, and the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with you, always.
