Everything is for him.”This year marks the centenary of the Diocese of Blackburn, celebrating 100 years of parishes, chaplaincies and schools. Bell ringing has long been part of the heartbeat of our parish life—marking worship, celebrations, and community moments with their distinctive peal. Sadly, we have not heard the bells rung for some time due to a lack of ringers. Recently, a number of volunteers came forward willing to learn the art of ringing and along with the help of the Guild of Bell Ringers, we hope they will sound again.The return of ringing is both a restoration of tradition and a sign of renewal. Our bells have stood as faithful witnesses for generations, calling people to prayer, reminding us of God’s presence in daily life, and celebrating weddings, festivals, and special occasions.This revival is thanks to the dedication of local ringers and supporters who have worked to ensure the bells are ready to sound again. Training sessions are planned for those who would like to learn the art of ringing, and experienced ringers are warmly invited to join the team.Bell ringing is not only a skill but also a fellowship. It brings people together, young and old, in shared rhythm and purpose.
