Each person brought a single stem and together we created a unique arrangement to celebrate and give thanks. We are all unique. Next meeting Tuesday 17th June ‘Summer memories’
They offer a focus for many, as they reflect on the beauty of God’s creation. For some, a pedestal arrangement is made in memory of a loved one. Other flowers and greenery adorn the window sills. If you would like to contribute to our flowers, whether in memory of someone, to mark a special occasion, or you would just like to support our flower fund – please chat to Gail or Reverend Lesley. Alternatively, pop your donation in an envelope, clearly marked if it is for a special date or memory, and leave it on the offertory plate. Everything is gratefully received.
Confirmation marks a point in the Christian journey at which the participation in the life of God’s people inaugurated at baptism is confirmed by the bishop by the laying on of hands, and in which those who have been baptised affirm for themselves, the faith into which they were baptised and their intention to live a life of responsible and committed discipleship. Through prayer and the laying on of hands by the bishop, the Church also asks God to give them the power through the Holy Spirit to enable them to live in this way.Bishop Joe was in attendance.
