Church of England Diocese of Blackburn Ribchester

St Wilfrid's Church, Ribchester

The Village of Ribchester with the outlying hamlet of Stydd are situated in the picturesque Ribble Valley in the heart of rural Lancashire. Ribchester grew out of the ruins of the Roman fort of Bremetenaccum and the Parish Church of Saint Wilfrid's stands where the principal buildings of the fort would have been.

We have a comprehensive website, which will tell you about both St. Wilfrid's Church in Ribchester and nearby St. Saviour's at Stydd. Please visit

Promoting a Safer Church: The care and protection of children, young people and adults involved in church activities is the responsibility of the whole church community. Click here to find out about our safeguarding policy and how to access support.
