Getting here

The Church is a lively and welcoming group of people of all ages and backgrounds who try to live out Jesus' teaching today! We meet in three historic buildings in the parish - do visit the www.boxchurch.org for more information and details of services and events.

Public Transport. St Thomas a Becket church can be accessed via First Bus services 231, 232, 271, 272 and by the Faresaver X31.  The latest timetables are on the First and Faresaver websites.

Parking.  Extensive parking is available in the Selwyn Hall car park at the bottom of Valens Terrace.  The turning into Valens Terrace off the A4 is immediately next to that for Church Lane and is signed.  There is then a  4 minute walk to church, up Valens Terrace and down Church Lane.  There is limited parking in Church Lane for those who need to park close to their destination, but if possible drivers with passengers who have mobility difficulties are advised to drop them at the church gate then park in the Selwyn Hall car park if necessary.

Accessibility .  St Thomas a Becket church offers the following :
--  Hearing/induction loop
--  Large print hymn books and order sheets and documentation whenever possible in accordance with diocesan accessible text guidelines
--  Assistance dogs are welcome
--  Level access by wheelchair from the gate in Church Lane, except at the south church door where there is a small lip over which assistance can willingly be given.  If requested the west door can be opened to give absolutely level access.
--  The church has a toilet but at present it is not fully accessible for wheelchair users.  Plans for a fully accessible toilet are being developed.
