Church of England Diocese of Bristol St. Philip Upper Stratton

About Us

St Philip’s church located on Beechcroft Road, Upper Stratton.  Our main Sunday service is Parish Communion at 11.00 am. Music is led by a robed choir and is a mixture of traditional and modern.

We love welcoming people to our church for baptism, marriage, remarriage and wedding blessings.

Baptisms normally take place within the main Sunday service.

The local primary and comprehensive schools regularly use the church building for nativity plays and carol services at Christmas.

We are not a gathered community but the Church for the parish and we delight in people ‘using’ the church.

St Philip’s hall is rented out to St Philip’s pre-school on a daily basis during term time.  This is not a church group but privately run. The hall is used regularly in the evening by the uniformed organisation, ie Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Scouts and Beavers.   The uniformed organisations join as for their Parade Services thoughout the year and they take an active part by reading the lesson and giving a presentations.

Our hall is available to hire subject to availability.
