Help to circle our benefice in prayer on the nine days between Ascension and Pentecost this year!
Novena is an ancient tradition of praying for nine consecutive days. In recent years, the Thy Kingdom Come initiative has encouraged Christians across the world to use this time for both personal and corporate prayer, and our own Diocese of Canterbury was instrumental in producing resources for these, including artwork, poetry and prayer.
We are going to hold very formal times of prayer and worship in each of our beautiful churches on each of the nine days of the Novena. Led by various members of our ministry team, we will use the national Thy Kingdom Come resources (this year, based on the psalms) to focus our prayers – bringing the needs of our benefice to God together.
Starting at Lyminge on Friday 14th May, then working anticlockwise around the Benefice, each service will start at 5pm, and last approximately 30 minutes. The full schedule is below.
Fri 14th May Lyminge
Sat 15th May Postling
Sun 16th May Stanford
Mon 17th May Paddlesworth
Tues 18th May Acrise
Wed 19th May Wootton
Thurs 20th May Denton
Fri 21st May Elham
Sat 22nd May Lyminge

Anyone from any church or none is welcome to any or all of these services! This is entirely about us, as members of the body of Christ, coming together to pray and worship.
I do so hope you are able to join us! If you’d like further information, do get in touch.
With love and prayers, Deb
