St John's Parish Church, Swalecliffe with Chestfield (Whitstable Team Ministry)
CORONA VIRUS UPDATE: A Message from Revd David Vannerley
You may well of heard, following updates from the NHS, Public Health England and the Government, that churches have been asked to suspend all public acts of worship until further notice. The Church of England has now published their own guidance. As a result NO services of worship will take place in St John's Church or St John's Centre for the time being. At present we cannot say how long this suspension will last. Please note that all events are cancelled until further notice.
Please be assured that we are praying for our community in Swalecliffe and Chestfield, for those that work within the NHS, for carers and researchers and for those vulnerable people within our communities. We are praying particularly for health - physically, mentally and spiritually - during this challenging and difficult time.
Weddings and funerals can still take place but must be attended by the smallest number of people as possible, or postponed. Likewise baptisms will be deferred unless the candidate's health dictates otherwise.
If you or you know of anyone who needs anything and you think we may be able to help, please do not hesitate to contact us on 07510 383123
