Fareshare aims to reduce food waste by passing on food that is just past it's sell-by date. It is free and safe to eat. Fareshare is available outside St John's Centre every Tuesday and Friday morning between 9am - 11am. Although nothing can be guaranteed there is usually a mix of salad, vegetables, fruit, bread, pastries and cakes.

Local school-uniform recycling project. Self-selection sessons are for you to help yourself to good quality laundered school uniforms for primary, junior and secondary schools in Whitstable, Swalecliffe and some surrounding areas

Our friendly and popular group that has been running for over 25 years. Lots of toys, crafts, singing, stories etc. Costs £1 per family which includes snacks and drinks. Different craft themes every week and this term includes Valentines, Daffodils and Spring, World Book Day and Mothers' Day, Comic Relief and Easter.

Care and the love of knitting and crochet have been combined in a prayerful ministry that reaches out to others. Many blessings are worked into every shawl. The knitter or crocheter begins each one with prayers for the recipient and intentions are continued throughout its creation. When completed it is offered a final blessing before being sent on its way.

Shawls are made for many reasons - for those who are housebound, sick, bereaved, undergoing medical procedures or who are distressed in some way. They are also given for occasions of celebration and to mark the beginning of a new stage in a recipient's life.
