About Us
We are a congregation drawn from a parish of about 1300 people which includes the hamlets of Boustead Hill, Longburgh, Moorhouse, and Thurstonfield. There is a service in our 12th-century church every Sunday and Wednesday, and we have a weekly prayer group, and another for Bible study. We maintain welcoming policies on open baptism, on marriage, and on diversity and inclusion: see the Useful Links tab. Please come and see us and ask any questions that you may have, or use the Get in Touch tab.
St Michael's is one of the six churches in the Benefice of the Barony of Burgh (pronounced 'Bruff'), three of which (including Burgh itself) are in the beautiful Solway Coast National Landscape.
Life is best lived together, and with our Maker… but as we are all different we have a variety of ways of worshipping which can be seen on our Services and Events page; we hope that these will help you in your journey through this life and beyond – with God himself.
